Frequently Asked Questions:

Is Skinuva Scar suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children?

Yes, Skinuva Scar is safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children above 6 months old.

Can Skinuva Scar be used on acne/acne scars?

Acute acne (red/raised/ pimples/cysts) should be managed under the supervision of a dermatologist and should be managed sooner rather than later so that they have a better chance of improvement with treatments and/or products.

If there is an old acne area that has created a depression or a local pit (i.e. atrophic, pitted scar), Skinuva Scar can be applied, but it may not be as effective if used alone vs in combination with other treatments, such as microneedling or laser treatments, which can be performed by the treating doctor.

Skinuva products should not be used on open wounds or placed on any active/acute lesions. In instances where the doctor recommends microneedling, chemical peel, or laser to help treat an atrophic acne scar, Skinuva Scar can be applied post-treatment to help improve the appearance of the skin from the recent procedure.*

What type of scars can Skinuva Scar be used for?

Skinuva Scar can be used for surgical and injury scars of all sizes. It can also be used to help improve the appearance of stretch marks and to help heal the skin after laser, microneedling, and chemical peel treatments. As long as the wound is not open, Skinuva Scar can also be used to help soothe and heal burns.

How often do I apply Skinuva Scar?

In order to see optimal results, Skinuva Scar is to be applied twice a day, morning and night, for at least 3-6 months.
