3. Pull the used cartridge out of the pen
4. Hold the pen vertically, with the applicator pointing down into a tissue–as inserting the refill cartridge may force out excess air and residual product from the pen
5. Insert the cartridge into the pen until it clicks
6. Replace cap and base onto pen
